DESCRIPTION
The PIXAPRO Orbit600, is a 24″ rotating photography turntable for producing 360° rotatable images and videos and is invaluable for photogrammetry projects. The table supports up to 330lbs, has 3 different speeds and comes with a remote control. Speeds range from 30sec rotation (fast) to 90sec rotation (slow). I have enhanced this model to include a very stable 3.5 foot model pose platform for a wider range of poses and configured it to support Chroma key compositing.
Modified Photogrammetry Table
I integrated the Orbit600 into a rotating turntable specifically designed to support my photogrammetry projects. The Orbit600 is attached to a solid 3×3′ base on brakable casters to support easy portability and stability. A 3.5′ square padded platform is secured to the top of the Orbit600 to enable a wider range of pose options for models on a comfortable and very stable display base. The platform and base are configured to support Chroma key compositing.
The model platform is remote controlled and has 3 rotating speed options:
- Slow: (see 1st video) completes a full rotation every 90 seconds
- Medium: (see 2nd video) completes a full rotation every 60 seconds
- Fast: (see 3rd video) completes a full rotation every 30 seconds
Each pose will require between 3 to 4 rotations at either the medium or slow speed:
Slow: 4.5 to 6.0 mins
Medium: 3.0 to 4.0 mins
Fast: 1.5 to 2.0 mins
